Pro Burnouts & Drag Racing – Event Cancelled
Unfortunately, we’ve had to make the tough call to cancel the Chrome Pro Burnout Series and Drag Racing event at Meremere Dragway scheduled for this Saturday.
With the venue already waterlogged, more rain on the way this week, and wet weather forecast for the event date itself, Meremere simply won’t be in a usable state for an event of this size. The last thing we want is to push ahead, only to have weather delays on track or have to pull the pin on the day after people have travelled from all over the country.
As previously stated, there is no additional rain date. The August Hampton Downs Pro Burnout results will stand, and all prizes from that event will carry over and be awarded to these winners. After discussions with the Pro Burnouts and SUMMERNATS team, as well as our judge Matt, we all agreed these results are a fair and solid reflection of the NZ Burnout scene.

🏆 1st: Hayden Wilby – NUTOUT
Prize: Pro Burnout Series qualifying spot at Summernats 38, 4x Platinum Tour tickets + cash
🥈 2nd: Naz – MR1RAQ

🥉 3rd: Rob Simmons – FRANKENSTEIN
Prize: Summernats Wildcard Invite
🎖 4th: Bryn Playford – SYCOVL
Prize: Summernats Wildcard Invite
🎖 Encouragement Award: Nathan Bull – GHOST
🎖 Best Tip-In: Ian Smith – SAMBO
All of the above also get free entry to Chrome next year. We'll be in touch in the coming days to sort out your prizes.
