New Expression Sessions!
We're bringing a little bit of the old-school Chrome attitude back to Hampton Downs!
Long-time Chrome entrants will remember the early days of the event, when there was a little more freedom to express yourself on track. Thanks to new track rules now available at Hampton Downs, we can bring some of that freedom back with our Expression Sessions.
The name is a nod to where it all started. Chrome is the longest-running event of its kind in New Zealand and, before it became the Chrome Horsepower Festival, it was known as the Chrome Expression Session. This new session is all about bringing some of that original spirit back.
What can you do?
- Powerskid down the straights
- Roll race other cars
- Drift and slide through corners
- Enjoy the circuit with more freedom than a traditional Cruise Session
Speeds will still be limited to 120km/h, and full PPE is required.
It's not a drift session, a roll racing session or a powerskid competition. It's simply a chance to get out on track, enjoy your car and express yourself within the session rules.
After 15 years of Chrome, it feels pretty fitting to bring a little bit of the original Expression Sessions back!
