Chrome Horsepower Festival Entries Open and Filling Fast

Entries are now open for the Prowear Chrome Horsepower Festival 2026, and spots are already filling up fast as competitors lock in their place at NZ's Biggest & Baddest Horsepower Festival.

Celebrating 15 years of Chrome, this year's event promises another action-packed weekend featuring cruising, drifting, roll racing, burnouts, grip sessions, gymkhana, drag racing and much more across Hampton Downs Motorsport Park and Napa Dragway, Meremere.

A number of categories are already seeing strong demand, with Drift Only entries expected to once again sell out well before the event. Garages were snapped up before entries even opened, and pit marquee spaces are also proving popular.

One of the biggest advantages of Chrome is the sheer variety of activities available throughout the weekend. While drifting runs on the Club Circuit, you'll have cruising, grip or roll racing on the National Circuit, plus the gymkhana pad, skid pad, Hard Park, Food Festival, trade displays and more all happening at the same time.

Saturday night sees the action shift to Napa Dragway, Meremere, where entrants can take part in Drag Racing and the Pro Burnout Series Competition under lights. Standard and VIP entrants can race down the quarter mile for free, while all entry types (excluding Drift Only) are eligible to enter the burnout competition.

If you're planning on joining us this year, don't leave it too late. Entries are filling quickly and some categories are expected to sell out.
